Environmental Policy and Institutional Plan

Cadaster’s Environmental Policy

Bogota’s Cadaster has among its responsibilities protecting, preserving the environment, and assuring the compliance if constitutional and legal decrees that regulate environmental management. Its environmental policy is applicable to all levels of the organization, and affects all of the processes within the chain of values of the unit.

Environmental policy is one of the unit’s main concerns, looking to preserve natural human principals and to promote sustainable development.

The unit will promote environmental culture by encouraging active participation of all public servants in adequate environmental practices, responsible habits and the creation of healthy and sustainable spaces.

Therefore, Cadaster is committed to the application of this policy, going even further than our client’s expectations and legal norms, by doing the following:

Safeguard its corresponding environmental legislation and norms; preventing environmental contamination through the promotion and strengthening of sustainable culture in its entire staff; Carrying out prevention based environmental management within its technological and economic possibilities; Strengthening communication regarding environmental policy within interested groups and promoting participation based on respect and mutual trust.

*Cadaster’s environmental policy according to section 4.2 of ISO Norms 14001:2004. The implementation of an environmental managing system was based on this document, which sets general guidelines for its planning and leads the organization towards a better environmental behavior.

Institutional Environmental Managing Plan PIGA

The Institutional Environmental Managing Plan is a planning exercise based on a descriptive and interpretative analysis of the unit’s environmental situation, its surroundings, its internal environmental conditions and the environmental management in its area of influence. The exercise will allow the unit to propose programs, projects, goals, and to assign resources for achieving eco-efficiency. At the same time, it aspires to be a consultation tool for public servants, for the community and for the control of environmental organs.
